I help high performers, leaders, athletes, and entrepreneurs who look strong on the outside but feel lost inside. Together, we cut through the noise, reconnect with who they really are, and build leadership that feels aligned, authentic, and unshakable.

Over the last 20+ years, I’ve been helping high performers stop leading from pressure and start leading with purpose.
Sure, this About page shares a little about me — but it’s really about how you can finally break through the doubt, pressure, and performance traps that have kept you stuck and step into the leader you were always meant to be.
“Josh’s leadership reignited my passion for my job. He was the only person to ever give me real, honest feedback to help me grow in my career.”
I didn’t start this work because of one big moment. It was years of watching leaders hold titles, but not trust — people who confused rank for respect. I knew something had to change.
My military career taught me that leadership isn’t about looking the part. It’s about showing up in a way that earns trust and inspires follow-through.
As I moved through the ranks, I became deeply aware of my own leadership gaps. That awareness fueled my study, my growth, and eventually the foundation of Fusewell Strategies.

“Hiding your pain doesn’t make you strong. It keeps you stuck. Real leadership requires honesty, not performance.”
After I retired from the military, everything I’d suppressed came flooding in — PTSD, depression, undiagnosed brain injuries. For a while, I thought being the “strong one” meant pushing it all down.
But the truth is, hiding your pain doesn’t make you strong. It keeps you stuck. Facing those internal battles changed everything. It showed me that real leadership requires honesty, not performance. Now I help others step into that same truth and rebuild from a place of wholeness, not perfection.
“My education came from the field, not the classroom. Two decades of leading teams under pressure gave me more insight than any textbook ever could.”
My education came from the field, not the classroom. Over two decades of leading teams under pressure gave me more insight than any textbook ever could. I studied leadership relentlessly — worked with mentors, read the books, and most importantly, lived it.
I’ve mastered the ability to get to the root of what’s holding someone back — and call them forward into their potential with clarity, empathy, and conviction. My approach isn’t polished or performative. It’s real. It’s raw. It’s transformative.
“This is about more than results. It’s about becoming someone you trust again — leading better, and feeling better, because you’re aligned with who you are.”
I work with high performers who are tired of pretending. Through my ACES Framework and CHEDDAR Leadership Principles, I help you strip away the noise and reconnect with your core identity.
Together, we get honest about what’s working and what’s not. We dig into your habits, your mindset, your purpose — and build leadership from the inside out. You’ll lead better. But more importantly, you’ll feel better, because you’ll be aligned with who you are.
These aren’t just concepts. They’re the pillars at the center of every coaching engagement, every conversation, and every breakthrough.
Not arrogance — grounded self-assurance that comes from knowing who you are and leading from that truth, even under pressure.
The willingness to be teachable, to admit gaps, and to put the mission and the team above ego. Strength through vulnerability.
Understanding the human behind the performance. Leaders who see people — really see them — build loyalty that outlasts any title.
Consistent action aligned with your values — the daily choices that either build or erode the leader you’re becoming.
The courage to act with clarity when the stakes are high and the information is incomplete. Leaders decide — they don’t wait for perfect.
Owning outcomes without excuse. Modeling the standard. Creating a culture where responsibility is a strength, not a threat.
The capacity to absorb pressure, adapt under fire, and come back stronger — not because you’re unbreakable, but because you know how to rebuild.

Joshua Roberts leads with a strength that’s undeniable but it’s his heart that changes lives.
Underneath the discipline of a veteran and the clarity of an elite coach is a man who deeply sees people. He doesn’t just guide you to success, he walks beside you with compassion, integrity, and unwavering belief. Joshua has a rare gift: he can hold space for your truth while fiercely calling you forward. If you're ready to feel seen, heard, and radically supported, you won’t find a more grounded and heart-centered leader to coach you to success.
Real transformation isn’t found in a formula. It’s found in honest work, applied consistently, with someone who won’t let you off the hook.
Every engagement starts with honest assessment — no sugarcoating, no performance. We identify what’s working, what’s not, and the blind spots that are costing you the most. Then we build the plan to close the gap.
Most coaching fixes behavior. We go deeper. We strip away the performance, the titles, the pressure, and reconnect you with your core identity — so leadership flows from who you are, not what people expect.
The CHEDDAR principles give you a framework for navigating the hardest leadership moments — the conversations you’ve been avoiding, the decisions you’ve been delaying, and the habits that are holding your team back.
I don’t just give you tools and send you on your way. I walk with you through execution — challenging you, celebrating wins, calling you forward when you want to settle. Real change is built over time, not in a single session.
Lead With Confidence.
Live With Purpose.
